Most editing drills focus on just one sentence at a time, which makes it easy for students to spot where to add a capital letter or punctuation mark.

But when it’s time to edit their own writing, those skills don’t always carry over.

Why?

One reason might be that they haven’t had enough practice editing multiple sentences, or sentences that continue onto the next line.

These daily editing drills give students regular practice with real-world writing patterns, helping them listen for natural phrasing and apply punctuation in context.

Students will edit for:

-proper capitalization

-spacing

-sight words spelling

-punctuation marks

There are 45 sentence slides, one per day for 9 weeks. This is a great way to warm up your writers before jumping into your writing block!
