One thing I am always preaching is that the writing process can be beneficial to all students no matter what the assignment is!
I designed this resource for those moments when you may be in between units of study or even for quick daily writing practice outside of workshop. These monthly prompts will allow students to see that they don’t have to abandon the writing process just because they aren’t making books!
Thiscanbedoneindependentlyifyourstudentsareexposed to it enough times. As a kindergarten teacher, I would display this for the whole class to see and fill it out with them. As a first or second-grade teacher, I would teach them the routine and assign it independently.
